Your First IV Drip: How a Hidration Visit Works and How to Choose
Share
Thinking about your first IV drip but not sure what to expect? You're in good company. Here's how a visit with Hidration works, from booking to the last drop, plus a simple guide to our drip menu.
Nurse-led, from start to finish
Hidration started in 2022 as a mobile IV business, founded by a nurse with more than 20 years of experience and her husband, a retired U.S. Navy veteran. That nurse-first approach still guides every visit. We use sterile, single-use supplies, and our nurse stays with you the whole time.
We come to you
Mobile appointments are available now across Virginia Beach. We'll set up at your home, your office or your hotel room, so IV therapy fits around work, family time or a beach weekend. Planning a team day, a wedding weekend or a party? Ask us about group events, too.
Soon you'll also be able to visit us at our Atlantic Park Longevity & Recovery Lounge, Opening Winter 2026ā2027.
How a visit works
⢠Book. Choose your drip online, or call or text us.
⢠Health screening. Our nurse reviews your health history, medications and vitals before anything starts. If a drip isn't right for you, we'll tell you.
⢠Settle in. Your nurse places a small IV, usually in your arm, and you relax while the drip runs. Most drips take about 45 minutes to an hour; NAD+ takes longer.
⢠Wrap up. Your nurse removes the IV, checks in with you, and you're on your way.
Choosing a drip
Each drip has its own blend. Here's a quick look at our menu:
⢠Hydration Recovery: fluids and electrolytes to help you rehydrate after travel, a workout, a long day in the sun or feeling under the weather.
⢠B12: vitamin B12 with IV fluids to help support natural energy.
⢠Myers Cocktail: the classic blend of magnesium, B vitamins and vitamin C, designed to help replenish nutrients and support everyday wellness.
⢠Immune Defense: vitamin C, zinc and B vitamins with IV fluids, designed to help support your body's normal immune function.
⢠Allergy Blend: IV fluids plus vitamin C and B vitamins for comfort during allergy season. It doesn't replace your allergy medication.
⢠Headache & Migraine: fluids, magnesium and B vitamins to help you rehydrate and feel more comfortable, with Toradol (ketorolac) added only if a nurse assessment confirms it's right for you.
⢠About Last Night: fluids, B vitamins and minerals to help you rehydrate after a night out, with Zofran (ondansetron) for nausea added only after a nurse assessment.
⢠Athlete Performance: fluids, amino acids, vitamin C and minerals to help you rehydrate and replenish after training or a big event.
⢠Get Up & Go: B vitamins and amino acids designed to help you feel energized.
⢠Beauty From Within: vitamin C, biotin and B vitamins, designed to support healthy-looking hair, skin and nails.
⢠Snow Bright: vitamin C, glutathione and alpha lipoic acid, designed to support healthy-looking, radiant skin.
⢠NAD+: a slow, nurse-monitored infusion many clients choose as part of their healthy-aging routine.
See current pricing on our IV menu. Not sure which one fits? Tell us how you're feeling and what you have planned, and our nurse will help you choose.
A few important notes
⢠IV therapy isn't right for everyone. Tell us about heart or kidney conditions, pregnancy, allergies and any medications.
⢠IV therapy is not emergency care. For a sudden, severe or unusual headache, chest pain, trouble breathing or any emergency, call 911.
⢠Please drink responsibly. We can't treat anyone who is still intoxicated.
Tips for a comfortable drip
⢠Eat a light meal and drink some water beforehand.
⢠Wear sleeves that roll up easily.
⢠Ask about adding a quick vitamin injection to your visit.
